Dance Central

Dance Central is the Kinect launch title that showcased what Microsoft's motion-sensing camera could do in a rhythm-dance experience. Developed by Harmonix, the game tracks full-body movement as players follow on-screen dance routines across a library of pop, hip-hop, and R&B tracks. The Break It Down mode teaches each move step by step before putting it all together.

With a colourful cast of characters and a soundtrack including tracks from Lady Gaga, Ke$ha, and Missy Elliott, Dance Central became one of the most popular Kinect titles of the Xbox 360 era. The game supports two-player simultaneous mode and score-based competitive play. Dance Central is a fun, active party experience that truly justified the Kinect peripheral for many players.
