Final Fantasy VII

Final Fantasy VII follows Cloud Strife, a former soldier turned mercenary, as he joins the eco terrorist group AVALANCHE to fight the Shinra corporation and, later, the world ending threat of Sephiroth. Its story of environmental destruction, identity, and loss became one of the most influential in the genre.

Turn based battles use the Materia system, letting players customise spells and abilities on any character, while the game moves between detailed pre rendered backgrounds and a wider explorable world map. Spread across three discs, it remains a landmark RPG on the original PlayStation.
