Mario Party: Island Tour brings the series' mix of board game strategy and mini games to Nintendo 3DS, set across seven islands each with its own unique board layout and rules. Players roll dice, collect stars, and compete in dozens of mini games designed around the console's touch screen and motion controls.
Boards range from a straightforward star collecting race to more unusual formats, including a rhythm based board and a Bowser themed gauntlet. Local wireless and single cartridge multiplayer let up to four players compete using just one copy of the game. With its variety of boards and bite sized mini games, it is well suited to short, competitive sessions on the go.
