Ni Hao, Kai-lan: New Year's Celebration

Ni Hao, Kai-lan: New Year's Celebration follows the Nickelodeon preschool character Kai-lan and her friends as they prepare for a Chinese New Year celebration. Aimed at very young players, the game uses simple touch screen activities to teach counting, colours, and basic Mandarin words alongside the show's themes of friendship and sharing.

Mini games are built around festival preparations, from decorating to helping friends get ready for the celebration, keeping the pace gentle and forgiving. Familiar characters and music from the show help tie the experience closely to the series it is based on. With its bright presentation and educational focus, it suits the youngest players in the Nintendo DS library.
