Description
Ratchet & Clank 2: Locked and Loaded follows Ratchet and his robotic companion Clank as they are recruited by Megacorp to recover a dangerous experimental creature known as the Protopet. Travelling across multiple planets filled with enemies, futuristic cities, and hidden secrets, the duo uncover a conspiracy that threatens entire galaxies while facing off against the villainous scientist Doctor Nefarious and other dangerous foes.
The gameplay combines platforming, third-person shooting, exploration, and inventive weapon-based combat. Players use a huge arsenal of imaginative weapons and gadgets that level up through use, becoming stronger and gaining new effects during the adventure. Hoverbike races, space battles, puzzle sections, and arena combat add variety throughout the game. Improved visuals, expanded worlds, and deeper progression systems helped establish it as one of the standout entries in the Ratchet & Clank franchise on PlayStation 2.
