The House of the Dead: Overkill (Extended Cut)

The House of the Dead: Overkill – Extended Cut is an over-the-top horror arcade shooter that combines grindhouse-inspired style, exaggerated violence, and dark humour within the long-running The House of the Dead franchise. Players follow special agents G and Detective Isaac Washington as they investigate a terrifying mutant outbreak caused by the sinister scientist Papa Caesar in a city consumed by chaos and infected creatures.

The gameplay is built around fast-paced on-rails shooting action where players blast through waves of zombies and mutated enemies using pistols, shotguns, machine guns, and explosive weapons. Cooperative multiplayer allows two players to fight together while earning upgrades and high scores across cinematic missions filled with boss battles and branching paths. The Extended Cut version includes additional levels, new weapons, and enhanced content for PlayStation 3. Its arcade-style gameplay, stylised presentation, and outrageous atmosphere create a memorable horror action experience.
