The Legend of Spyro: A New Beginning

The Legend of Spyro: A New Beginning reimagines the origins of Spyro in a darker fantasy adventure that follows the young dragon as he discovers his destiny and powerful elemental abilities. Raised far from his true heritage, Spyro learns that he may be the only one capable of stopping the evil Dragon Master Cynder and saving the world from destruction and corruption spreading across the land.

The gameplay combines platforming, exploration, and combat using elemental breath attacks such as fire, ice, electricity, and earth powers. Players battle waves of enemies, solve environmental puzzles, and unlock new abilities while travelling through forests, temples, and volcanic landscapes. Combo-based combat and upgrade systems add depth to encounters throughout the adventure. Its cinematic storytelling, fantasy atmosphere, and refreshed take on the Spyro franchise created a more action-focused experience for PlayStation 2 players and longtime fans alike.
